We are all well aware of the damage the scorching heat and humidity during summer could do to our skin.
[the_ad id=”6178″]Summer can cause both short term and long term damages to our skin on a daily basis if proper steps are not take to protect it. Here are a few tips to help you maintain your skin this summer.
1. Always apply a sunscreen
The simplest solution to fight against heat is to protect you skin from direct sunlight. A regular sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30 will do. Apply the sunscreen to all that to parts of your body which are frequently exposed to sunlight, at least 15 minutes before leaving your house.
2. Give your skin a make-up detox
Heavy make-up leads to clogging pores and does not let your sweat escape; this can lead to breakouts in your skin. Instead of applying makeup use natural and effective fruit face masks and cool scrubs to save your skin.
3. Use summer-friendly products
Have a specific set of skin products which can be used during the summer. For example, a gel-based moisturizer works well during the summer rather than a cream based moisturizer. Rather than using heavy-duty foundation use multi-purpose CC creams.
4. Drink lots of water
Drinking 3-4 liters of water per day is a must. This keeps your body adequately hydrated and maintains the body temperature at the required level. It indirectly helps your skin by washing out unwanted toxins from your body.
5. Hydrate your body
Keeping your skin hydrated is as important as keeping your body hydrated. Apply gel-based moisturizers for your face and fruit-based moisturizers for your skin to help you do that.
