In this fast-paced career-oriented life there are a few other things we do wrong while trying to maintain our work-life balance. Read further to understand a few significant mistakes you do.

1. People Pleasing Eater
Unnecessary lavish meals have become a part of today’s corporate lifestyle in the name of team building and client handling. You might not even consume much but the type of food you eat leads to your weight touching unnecessary marks. Though you might not be hungry, you end up munching on high-calorie servings. Next time you end up in such a situation, try sticking to lean salads and quick filling high fiber foods.

2. Mindful Eating
Always be mindful of your diet. Most of us are health conscious, during breakfast and lunch while we lose our mind in the evening. The exhaustion in your body leads to you binging on unhealthy fast food because of your hunger pangs. Be mindful of what your body needs and make sure you provide that in the right quantity. Have the habit of carrying a quick and healthy snack with you for avoiding such situations and satisfying your hunger needs in a healthy way.

3. Ambience Matters
The ambience you spend most of the time matters very much. Eating in a dim lit setting makes you consume more than what is necessary for you. Below normal room temperature also plays a hand in this. Always make sure you consume food with ambient light and temperature.

4. Erratic Working Hours
An irregular working schedule leads to you messing up your lifestyle. When you often have to work early or leave late, your schedule is messed up and you end up sleeping for a longer time rather than hitting the gym. This can also cause a hormonal imbalance, making you feel hungry all the time. Try to get as much activity out of your body as you possibly can. Use the stairs instead of the escalator. Take short walks in the middle of your intense schedule to stretch your muscles.

5. Having less water
This can be considered a severe problem when we are looking into weight gain. Usually, we are so occupied at work that we totally forget to drink water for hours together. We tend to consume more caffeine while we are at work, which is not good by itself. More caffeine and less water can affect your weight and energy level to a great extent. Always have a bottle of water with you and fix up targets for the quantity of water you consume.

6. Stress Eating
Stress has become a very obvious part of both our personal and professional life. This situation leads to the secretion of excess cortisol in your body. Cortisol is a hormone that triggers hunger pangs and leads you to hog on excess food. A proper sleeping pattern can help counter this issue to a great extent. Learning how to manage your stress can do wonders for your life.
