Give that stress a miss

Stress is a bigger part of our lives today than ever before, and we must admit it. Most often, having too much on your plate can cause stress. Stress can lead to serious mental health concerns, such as anxiety or depression. Find a de-stressing activity and stick with it. It can be anything from yoga and jogging to listening to music and reading.

Put an end to those fad diets

It is true that there is a lot of pressure on looking good these days. But can looking good come at the cost of feeling good? Absolutely not! What many don’t understand is, everything is good for you: in moderation. Finding a balanced diet, with your favorite wine or pastry thrown in, will still help you look good and make you feel better too!

Exercise is more than cardio

It is true that cardio is an essential part of any workout routine. But what women don’t realize is that strength and resistance training exercises, such as using dumbbells and other weight machines (at least twice a week), are equally important to keep fit and drive the blues away.

Visit your doctor every year

Keep in touch with your doctor and run blood tests, ultrasound, and urine tests regularly if you are between the ages of 21 and 60 years.

Are you sleeping enough?

How much sleep one needs may vary. But if you feel tired, find it hard to focus, or are restless during the day, you may need to catch up on your sleep! Sleeping well is the key to your well-being.
