Heartfulness Approach to Meditation

Dear Friends, have you ever noticed that our entire life is led by feelings and inspirations? That is the role of the heart. When we

[the_ad id=”6114″] capture the inspiration that comes from within and start listening to heart again and again, we begin to master our life. The whole exercise of fine-tuning the heart with the mind is through meditation on the heart. That is why we have the process as Heartfulness meditation.

People often ask : What is the goal of Heartfulness meditation? Rather than having a common goal for everyone, I would rather say that goals are to be set by individuals. It is up to us what we want to achieve through whatever we do. If you want peace of mind through meditation, then you will feel peace. Some people want to feel liberated from within. Others want to feel universal consciousness. So I think the goal is individually driven, based on their heart’s signals.

Heartfulness has no affiliation with religion. For each decision in life, the heart has to be convinced before we take that decision, whether it is our beliefs or something as simple as the next move in a chess game.

Heartfulness meditation goes like this :

Gently sit and relax with your eyes very softly closed. Think of the presence of the source of light within the heart. Stay with this one idea for as long as you can, maximum up to an hour. After doing this on your own, you are welcome to try Heartfulness meditation with the help of yogic transmission. Then you will be able to see the effect of this yogic transmission for yourself.

Transmission is translated from the Sanskrit word Pranahuti. Pranahuti is the essence of the subtlest prana, which is transmitted by a yogi. It has to be experienced. It touches our hearts like sunlight touches our skin and makes us feel warm. When Pranahuti touches our heart, it really makes us feel very special inside.

However, rather than explaining it any further, I would have you experience it for yourself. Let it be whatever you feel. Then it is your own experience. Why should you borrow anyone else’s experience? The very moment you close your eyes, you will feel the result instantly. It is like sunlight. When you expose yourself to the sun, you feel the warmth instantaneously. Similarly when you expose yourself to Pranahuti while meditating in the Heartfulness way, you feel the effect instantly.

People often say that today’s lifestyle is so busy that they don’t have time for meditation. But if we can create a stressful lifestyle, we also have the choice to create a calmer lifestyle. If you want to feel peaceful and calm, you will have to adopt some method. So even if it takes an hour of meditative practice to achieve twenty-three hours of a good day, isn’t it a good investment of time? The choice is yours.

Heartfulness advocates balance in material life and spiritual life. It emphasizes not focusing too much on our material life and let our spiritual existence suffer, and not focusing too much on the spiritual life and let our material existence suffer. Heartfulness advocates balance within, balance in our surroundings, balance in our society. We kind of breathe peace in and we exhale peace out. I invite you to try it.

All the best.
